Mission: Deaf Smith County Crisis Center exists to improve the quality of life for victims of sexual assault and
domestic violence by strengthening individual and family life, through
crisis intervention, support, counseling, advocacy and education.
Philosophy:
Deaf Smith County Crisis Center believes
in the right of all persons to live without fear, abuse or oppression.
We believe that victims of sexual assault
and domestic violence are best served by locally based programs that
are supported by their communities.
We believe that service should be available
to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault without regard to
race, national origin, age, physical handicap, religion, sex or sexual
preference.
We believe that Deaf Smith County Crisis
Center board members, staff, volunteers and concerned others working
collectively within the community can change our societal attitudes
about, and response to, family violence and/or sexual assault.
